# Bridge $FTM to $Sonic

Upgrade your assets to the new Sonic blockchain

The Sonic blockchain was created to replace the Fantom blockchain. In order to make migration from Fantom to Sonic easier, our team added a function to bridge $FTM from Fantom to $S on Sonic. The official SonicLabs bridge is used in the backend.
